What your LinkedIn headline says before you do
Your headline is read more than anything else you write. Here is how to make it count.

Placeholder article. Replace this body with the final copy.
Your headline follows you everywhere: comments, search results, connection requests. It is read far more often than your posts.
Three headline patterns that work
- Outcome first. Say who you help and what changes for them.
- Point of view. Lead with the idea you want to be known for.
- Proof. Anchor it with one specific, verifiable detail.
What to cut
Job-title soup, buzzwords and a list of five things you are passionate about. If it could describe anyone, it describes no one.
A quick rewrite exercise
Write ten versions. Read them aloud. Keep the one you would be happy to hear someone else say about you.
